The private double room at Boardrider Backpackers And Budget Motel was just what I needed after a long day. The bed was super comfy, and the en suite bathroom was clean and convenient. Plus, the free continental breakfast and unlimited wifi were a major bonus.
Personally, I didn't love the TV in the room. But hey, that's just me.

We booked a double bed Motel Room. On arrival we were put in a "family room" with 2 bunk beds, and told the price would be straightened out in the morning. Upon further discussion we were given no discount or concession and spent the remainder of our nights in the "family room". Staff said it happens all the time and tried to make excuses regarding online booking.

Great room rate and fantastic location, a block to the beach and a few minutes to the Sydney ferry.
Keep in mind that this is a youth backpacker accommodation and you should expect noise.

Location was good but thats about it.
Well its not really budget because it was $100 dollars for the night. Had no parking so had to parked about 2km away. Feared for the worst when we seen the earplugs on the bed, also our room was beside a smoking area, groups of people standing shouting outside our window. Bathrooms were dirty also.

It is very close to the beach and Board rentals are cheap for guests.
Not very clean, showers never stayed at the same temperature, noisy (Buy some ear plugs), Cramped kitchen and fridge, not much room for anything (While i was there.)

Place was dirty. Not staff fault but residents. Each morning the corridor was covered with litter. Cockroaches were prevelant. Have stayed many times before because it was a clean budget well located place but not anymore.

This place is at an amazing location, right in the centre of a vibrant town with 3 pubs with delicious food at the doorstep. it is conveniently located extremely close to the beach, providing easy access to all sea activities. the common area is quite welcoming with friendly staff always available for help.
If you want to sleep peacefully in your room, look elsewhere. Some reviews have reported communal bathrooms with unacceptable levels of hygiene, beds infested with bedbugs, and dead cockroaches on arrival.

The location was good, the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever attempted to sleep on. Also I wasn't a fan of the plastic sheets or pillows.
